Sharpen Your Pencils – the Annual United Against Bullying Grant Is Coming

Inspiring Stories

I am inspired each time I interview a previous grant winner. Often it’s a single person – a teacher, a counsellor, or a transportation manager – who has positively affected students in their entire school or school district supported by funds from the UAB grant program.

Some of these stories are on the UAB blog and we encourage you to read a few for ideas and inspiration.

We’re so excited about the possibilities and the diverse range of programs being offered that we think everyone who works with youth in Canada and the US should apply for a grant. You can enhance or expand an existing anti-bullying or kindness program, start a new initiative, design your own program or adopt an existing one, or purchase school bus equipment to help address bullying on the bus.

Let Your Ideas Flow

On Monday, January 8 our 2017 grant application process opens and continues until Friday, March 31st, 2017. There will be a PDF of the application you can download to work on the application over time, but please note that the final application submission is the online form. Rules and regulations will be published on our website on January 8, along with the link to the application form and the PDF working version.

We have made applying as simple as possible, but we encourage you to add as many details as you can about the program you envision for the children who will be impacted by this grant. It is the detail that will show us how well you’ve thought through and researched your proposal and will help your application stand out from the rest.

The annual grant program is the most exciting initiative of United Against Bullying. Our campaign’s sole purpose is to empower young people and to end bullying. United together our efforts are magnified, making positive change possible for youth and their communities.
