Every year on Pink Shirt Day, Seon employees put on pink shirts to support communities in their efforts to end bullying and inspire young people to stand up against abusive behavior. And this year was no exception. The theme of this year’s Pink Shirt Day 2016 was  “Kindness is one size fits all”.  Our employees believe that we all have the capacity to be kind and make impact on someone else’s life, showing empathy and compassion. In Memory of a Friend, Doug Mosher

It’s with sadness and sorrow in our hearts that we write this blog post: two weeks ago we lost a great customer and friend from Halifax Metro Transit, Doug Mosher. Doug passed away after a long battle with cancer on January 23, 2016. He will be greatly missed by his beloved wife, Gina, his daughters, extended family, and all transit community. (more…)

With one month of 2016 already behind us, we surveyed several school transportation professionals and examined lessons learned to predict school bus safety priorities and challenges for the rest of the year. While student and driver safety still top the list, rapid technology advancements have spurred adoption of new services for students and parents, such as on-board Wi-Fi and online apps and portals for real-time bus arrival notifications. Creating School Bus Stars

If you’ve ever wondered how to become a school star, Minnesauke Elementary School from East Setauket, NY, knows the answer. For more than two years school educators have taught students to be Sharing, Trustworthy, Accepting, Respectful, and Serving (S.T.A.R.S.). Last year, their program was selected for the 2015 United Against Bullying Grant. In December, two Safe Fleet brands, Seon and Fire Research Corp. (FRC), visited Minnesauke Elementary School in Three Village Central School District, to reward their educational team for the amazing work and presented the grant award for the development and expansion of their anti-bullying initiatives.
