On-board video technology is in the midst of an important transition in image quality, or what I like to call a ‘resolution evolution.’ The introduction of the Network Video Recorder (NVR) into the fixed surveillance market several years ago, brought with it the promise of higher quality images, as well as remote configuration, camera re-booting and monitoring. High-definition cameras and recorders were on the hot list for many transit agencies looking to upgrade their existing vehicle camera systems, with improvements in resolution driving the desire for change. Drum Roll Please It is with great pleasure that we announce the winners of this year’s annual United Against Bullying Grant Program. We received 121 applications, many of which were creative, well-planned, and ambitious. All of the proposals had the students’ safety and well-being clearly defined as a priority. Located in High Prairie, AB, the school division supports a diverse population of 23,000 people with rich cultures and backgrounds. Every day the division’s buses travel over 8,900 km to bring students to their schools from various locations.
