How to Get a Grant to Fund Your Anti-bullying Programs

On February 24th, on the official Pink Shirt Day, Safe Fleet and its brands launched the 2016 United Against Bullying Grant program to offer funding for anti-bullying education and awareness initiatives empowering youth. The available funding of $55,000 will be distributed between several applicants who will present the best action plans and strategies to address bullying and its prevention in their communities. The funds can be used for the implementation of projects, training, or purchase of school bus equipment and technology to ensure the safety of students. (more…)

Pink Shirt Day 2016 at Seon: Kindness Starts with Us

Every year on Pink Shirt Day, Seon employees put on pink shirts to support communities in their efforts to end bullying and inspire young people to stand up against abusive behavior. And this year was no exception. The theme of this year’s Pink Shirt Day 2016 was “Kindness is one size fits all”. Creating School Bus Stars

If you’ve ever wondered how to become a school star, Minnesauke Elementary School from East Setauket, NY, knows the answer. For more than two years school educators have taught students to be Sharing, Trustworthy, Accepting, Respectful, and Serving (S.T.A.R.S.). Last year, their program was selected for the 2015 United Against Bullying Grant. In December, two Safe Fleet brands, Seon and Fire Research Corp. (FRC), visited Minnesauke Elementary School in Three Village Central School District, to reward their educational team for the amazing work and presented the grant award for the development and expansion of their anti-bullying initiatives. Seon at NAPT 2015: Presenting New Tools and Resources for School Bus Safety

Last week, at the NAPT 2015 Trade Show, Seon presented three new products designed to increase school bus safety and efficiency. The demonstration of innovative technology followed the announcement of the winners of the United Against Bullying grant program held by Safe Fleet and its subsidiaries from August 15th through October 15th.
